Privacy policy
This page explains what personal information I collect, why, and what your rights are. I keep it to the minimum I need to teach you and run my business.
Who I am
Antonio De Lillis, singing teacher, vocal coach and mixing and mastering engineer, London. I am responsible for your personal information (the "data controller"). Contact me at delillisantonio@gmail.com.
What I collect and why
- When you email me: your name, email address and anything you include in your message, so I can reply to you.
- When you book a lesson or a chat: your name, email address, the time you choose and any notes you add. I use these to run your lessons (to deliver what you've booked).
- When you pay: payments are handled by PayPal. I see your name, email and the amount paid, but never your card or bank details. I keep payment records because the law requires it for tax.
- During lessons: notes on your progress and, if you choose to share it, information about your voice or health that affects how we work. I use health information only to keep your lessons safe, and only with your agreement.
- Mixing and mastering projects: the audio files and details you send me, used only to complete your project.
- Newsletter: if you sign up, your email address (and name if given), used to send you updates. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email (your consent).
I never sell your information or use it for anything other than the reasons above.
Services I use
Some of your information is stored by trusted services that help me run my business:
- Cal.com for bookings, and Cal Video or similar tools for online lessons
- PayPal for payments
- Kit for the newsletter
- Google (Gmail) for email
- My web hosting company, which keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security
Some of these companies are based outside the UK, mainly in the USA. They protect your data with legal safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
Cookies and embedded content
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and some pages include YouTube videos in privacy-enhanced mode. When you play a video, YouTube may set its own cookies. Google's and YouTube's own privacy policies apply to that content.
How long I keep it
- Lesson and booking records: while you're a student, and up to 2 years after our last lesson.
- Payment and financial records: 6 years, as required for tax.
- Audio files from mixing and mastering projects: up to 1 year after the project ends, unless we agree otherwise.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask me to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can also object to how I use it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Just email me, and I'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, please talk to me first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
